FIBROBLAST PLASMA PEN Q&A
HOW DOES PLASMA FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING WORK?
This procedure is relatively new in our country, but has been safely utilized overseas for many years. Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening has been growing in popularity in the U.S. due to the many advantages over invasive surgery (Recovery Time, Costs, and No Surgery). The process uses a Plasma Charge that causes a series of little brown dots over a specific area. These micro traumas cause the stimulation and growth of new collagen. This collagen causes the skin to tighten and lift virtually reversing years of damage.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
The lasting effects of the procedure are similar to that of invasive surgery. The results are not permanent and does not prevent further aging, but should last for several years. Benefits from Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening can be effected by lifestyle factors such as: smoking, drinking and prolonged sun exposure. Results can be seen immediately but continue as the skin heals over 4 to 8 weeks.
How Many Treatments are Required?
This varies on the individual as most will see benefits immediately after the first treatment. Different individuals have unique skin and thus, will react differently to the treatment. Additional treatments can be given to an area after 8 weeks (It is very uncommon to need more than 2 treatments to obtain desired results). Any treatment to the same area within 3 months, will be offered at a discounted rate.
WHAT KINDS OF SIDE EFFECTS CAN I EXPECT?
Plasma Fibroblast has been shown to be a safe non-invasive procedure when done by a fully certified technician. However, every individual may react differently. As with most minor cosmetic procedures, patients usually see minor side effects 5-10 days after the procedure. It is typical to see swelling of the treated areas, especially the eyelid area. It is crucial to follow the after care instructions, to avoid side effects and to get the most optimal results. You can expect to see little brown dots (scabs) on the treated area. These scabs will begin to fall off by itself at around day five. After your treatment, you will receive a post care starter kit that provides you with a week of your daily after care regiment.

WHAT IS PLASMA FIBROBLAST?
Fibroblast Tightening Treatment is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers similar results of surgery without the long healing times and with much lower costs. This device will help you get a brighter, more contoured, and more youthful appearance.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?
On the treatment day, it is recommended that no make-up, moisturizer is worn on the treatment area. Just come in with clean skin, We suggest taking an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your appointment. This will reduce swelling in the treatment area. A NUMBING agent is placed on treatment area and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes, When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you may feel some heat and minor irritation. Swelling may intensify over the following few hours when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area. During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
WHAT INCLUDED IN FIBROBLAST TREATMENT ?
In order to ENHANCE treatment outcome, I combine other therapies with the medical grade technology used. I end the treatment process with LED light therapy. Red light therapy is one of the most scientifically tested and proven solution for anti-aging problems. The therapy activates production of collagen (which plumps the skin), elastin (which tightens the skin), and removes the acne causing bacteria by closing dead pores on the skin. Therefore, Red LED light helps repair and renew the skin and improve the overall healing process after the Plasma Fibroblast treatment.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
1. Avoid any kind of tanning (Spray tanning, sun tanning and tanning beds) for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF5O to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned. You may even wish to consider using a natural Tyrosinase Inhibitor to help ensure there is no overproduction of pigment in the skin aka hyperpigmentation.
2. Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with Plasma Pen, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, as this may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it. • No facial acids (Retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after Plasma Pen. • No Botox or fillers 21 days before or after Plasma Pen. • No Micro needling/PRP 21 days before or after Plasma Pen. • No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Plasma Pen.
POST -TREATMENT
You will be given after care instructions and an after care kit. You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process. Follow-up treatment may be performed after 8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing.
MAY I USE MAKEUP AFTER THE PLASMA FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?
Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it is generally not sterile. First 5-6 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary.
